  3. Fine Iggy Pop tribute album. Well known Iggy Pop songs recorded by excellent punk bands. The bands originate from UK, USA, Finland, Japan, France and Australia. Included are three versions of "No Fun" as well as two versions of "Search And Destroy" and of "I Wanna Be Your Dog".5/5(1).
  4. I Wanna Be a Stooges is a forced tribute to the groundbreaking proto-punk group. With only a few exceptions, like the Sex Pistols' previously released version of "No Fun," the album consists entirely of obscure mid-'90s indie punk bands like Rocket Reducer 62, 69 Eyes, Surreal McCoy, and Blind Pineapple Phillips. 7. Everybody knows that the Stooges' 3rd, and, I believe, last, album, Raw Power, is a bona fide classic, but their first 2 albums, though both contain some filler, are some of the best recordings of the early 70's, particularly for loud, heavy rock. This is just an album I /5().
  8. May 30,  · I also have and old french repress The Stooges - The Stooges, of this album, and I can tell you that the mix is totaly different between those releases. On the french release guitars have much more presence, and the global feeling is noisy. On this release rhythm section is on the front, the feeling is more dry/5().
